Give Claude a clear task instead of copying messages into a chat one by one. The connector lets it retrieve information from your connected mailbox during your conversation.
Ask for a summary of today's vendor messages or a specific customer's conversation. Pull out requests, dates and unresolved questions so you can decide what needs attention.
Try: “Summarize today's messages in my Inbox. List the sender, requested action and any stated deadline.”
Search by sender, recipient, subject, words or date. Find the quote you discussed, the last delivery update or a message you flagged for follow-up.
Try: “Find last month's messages from our supplier in my Vendors folder and identify the latest delivery date they gave us.”
Ask Claude to read text from supported PDF and CSV attachments and bring the relevant details together. Useful for checking invoice totals, comparing quotes or understanding an email attachment.
Try: “Find the invoice attached to the latest message in my Vendors folder. List its invoice number, total and due date.”
Ask Claude to prepare a response after reading the relevant messages. When draft saving is enabled, it can place the reply in your Drafts folder. Review the wording, recipients and facts in webmail or your usual email app before sending.
Try: “Read the latest customer message and save a draft answering their questions. Flag any answer that needs information from me.”
You can also ask for a follow-up checklist in your Claude conversation. The connector does not create tasks in other business applications.

StrataMail VPS and Dedicated provide business email hosting. The AI connector adds another way to work with a mailbox through Claude. You continue reading and sending mail through your normal email apps.
The current connector can search and read email, read supported attachments and save drafts when draft saving is enabled.
It cannot send mail, delete or move messages, change mailbox settings or administer your email server. We can configure the server for search and reading only by disabling draft saving.
Administrators can revoke a mailbox's connector access when a user leaves or access needs to end.
Getting started
We confirm your VPS or Dedicated deployment, connector availability and setup requirements, including whether saving drafts should be enabled.
Add the connector using the connection details we provide and sign in with your own StrataMail mailbox. Your Claude account or organization must allow custom connectors.
Ask for a search, a summary or a reply draft. Check the underlying messages and use your usual email app to review and send any saved draft.

The current connector can save a draft when draft saving is enabled on your server. It cannot send mail. You review and send the draft through webmail or your usual email app.
No. Each user signs in to their own mailbox. The connection can access that mailbox's folders and messages; it does not open other users' mailboxes.
The current connector extracts text from text files, CSV, HTML, calendar attachments, forwarded messages and PDFs with a readable text layer. Scanned PDFs, images and other formats may need separate processing. Large messages may need to be opened in your email app.
The current connector is built for Claude. If you need another AI platform, ask us to check compatibility and scope the integration before choosing a service.
The connector helps with your everyday hosted mailbox during a Claude conversation. Email Continuity provides outage protection as a separate service. Automatic rules, routing and integrations are scoped through Email Intelligence.
Your mailbox is hosted on StrataMail VPS or Dedicated. Email content retrieved by Claude is processed by Anthropic under your Claude account's terms and settings. If your data must stay away from cloud AI services, ask about a separately scoped private AI deployment.
