Choosing Between Them
- Essentials Inbound Only cleans what arrives. It is the right fit when your only concern is inbound spam and malware.
- Essentials adds the same controls on outbound mail, so a compromised account cannot quietly send on your domain’s reputation.
- Email Cloud is the step most customers want. Everything in Essentials, plus 90 days of continuity, so your users keep working through an outage instead of waiting it out.
- Total Email Protection adds inspection inside your Microsoft 365 tenant, catching phishing and business email compromise that never crossed the gateway, and can pull a bad message back out of an inbox after it landed.

A Note on Continuity
The replay, spool, and continuity windows above are features of the VIPRE filtering layer. They are not the same as StrataMail Continuity, which gives your users a shadow mailbox and branded webmail, nor StrataMail Backup MX, which queues inbound mail without giving users access to it. Those are separate services and can run alongside VIPRE if you need them.
