FuseMail ContinuitySMART is now VIPRE Email Continuity
Short answer: ContinuitySMART was folded into the VIPRE Email Cloud plan. It is no longer a separate add-on.
That is a genuine improvement: ninety days of continuity now comes with the plan rather than costing extra.
What it does
Outages happen for dull reasons: maintenance that overruns, a lost circuit, a hardware failure, a provider having a bad afternoon. ContinuitySMART kept users sending and receiving through the filtering platform while the primary mail system was unavailable, and let them retrieve messages that had been deleted by accident.
That capability is now part of VIPRE Email Cloud, with ninety days of continuity and ninety days of spooling included in the plan price.
Know the limit before you rely on it
Filter-based continuity gives your users a web portal during an outage. It keeps mail flowing and it keeps people working. What it does not do is keep Outlook and phone mail apps working against your usual mailbox, because the mailbox itself is what is down.
If your requirement is that Outlook and mobile keep working through an outage, that is a different product: StrataMail Continuity adds a shadow mailbox with full IMAP and SMTP. The side-by-side comparison sets out which one matches which requirement, and we would rather you bought the right one.
The rest of the FuseMail family
Everything under the SMART naming was renamed at the same time: SecureSMART is VIPRE Email Security, ClickSMART is Phishing Protection, EncryptSMART is Encryption, and ContinuitySMART is the continuity that now comes built into the Email Cloud plan. Current rates are on the FuseMail pricing page.
