FAQ

Is there a per-mailbox or per-user fee?
No. Pricing is per domain only — regardless of how many mailboxes or users are on that domain.
What if a customer's outage event lasts weeks?
StrataMail queues mail for up to 30 days. Overages are reviewed and invoiced manually — mail acceptance never stops.
Can my customers bring their own Proofpoint or Mimecast?
Yes. Configure StrataMail as the alternate delivery destination in their filter. The filter's failover handles routing to StrataMail. This is the standard path for customers with existing enterprise filtering.
How does SpamWeeder Premium integrate?
SpamWeeder Premium is the primary MX. Its native multi-destination delivery routes to StrataMail when the primary mail server is unreachable — no DNS change needed. SpamWeeder handles the failover trigger natively.
Can I upgrade tiers?
Yes. Tier upgrades apply at the next billing cycle. Additional domains beyond your current tier are invoiced at the overage rate until the upgrade takes effect.
What do my customers see during an outage event?
They receive an outage notification (from your email address), then log into the webmail portal (branded with your logo and colors) where their mail is already waiting. They read, reply, and send normally until the primary server recovers.
